The seven elected commissioners govern the largest port in the United States by foreign waterborne tonnage. Meetings are open to the public and cover trade operations, infrastructure investments along the Houston Ship Channel, environmental stewardship, maritime safety, and community impact on channel-adjacent neighborhoods. Public comment is available and meetings are also accessible via Microsoft Teams.
