Dr. Jennifer Lincoln has seen the worst challenges in women's health care. Yet she still believes our community can build a better future for reproductive health.

Lincoln works as an OB-GYN and teaches health education on social media. She calls herself "the internet's OB-GYN" because she breaks down complex medical topics for everyday people. Her goal is simple: help people understand their bodies and health choices.

Women face many barriers getting health care today. After Roe v. Wade ended in 2022, many OB-GYNs left states with strict abortion laws. Labor and delivery units close because hospitals get low payments for women's health services. Research shows doctors take men's pain more seriously than women's pain. These problems make it harder for women to get the care we need.

But Lincoln sees reasons for hope. The Gates Foundation invested $2.5 billion in women's health research in 2025. More states now cover doulas, who help women during birth. Having a doula cuts the chance of needing a C-section. The FDA approved over-the-counter birth control pills called Opill. In many states, insurance covers this birth control for free.

Lincoln wrote a new book called "The Birth Book" to help people prepare for pregnancy and birth. She believes education gives our community power to make better health decisions and demand better care.
