Overview

The Houston Land Bank board meets monthly to review property acquisitions, development partner selections, and affordable housing project approvals. The Land Bank acquires tax-delinquent and vacant properties and makes them available for affordable housing development, turning empty lots into homes for Houston families. Meetings are open to the public and residents can attend to learn about affordable housing projects planned for their neighborhoods.

IM Houston

For over 60 years, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston has brought people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration, and service to the most vulnerable in our community. IM Houston operates Texas's largest Meals on Wheels program (delivering 1.5 million meals annually to 4,300+ homebound seniors), resettles refugees from 40+ countries, coordinates thousands of disaster and community volunteers through Volunteer Houston, and fosters interfaith understanding through dialogue programs, youth leadership, and cultural exchange.

Third Ward Multi-Service Center

The Third Ward Multi-Service Center is a City of Houston facility on Ennis Street serving one of Houston's most historically and culturally significant African American communities. Third Ward is home to Texas Southern University, Emancipation Park, and a long tradition of Black civic leadership. The MSC connects Third Ward residents to health services, social service referrals, public benefits programs, and city-administered community resources in a neighborhood navigating deep history and ongoing development. Denver Harbor Multi-Service Center

The Denver Harbor Multi-Service Center is a City of Houston facility located on Market Street in the Denver Harbor neighborhood on Houston's east side. Operated by the Houston Health Department, the center connects residents to public health programs, social services, community education, and local government resources. The facility serves as an anchor institution for a historically working-class neighborhood with deep roots in Houston's Latino and longtime industrial workforce communities.
