Overview
Volunteer Houston is IM Houston's volunteer coordination hub, connecting thousands of individuals with meaningful service opportunities at nonprofit agencies across Greater Houston. The program engages over 4,000 volunteers annually in community service, skills-based volunteering, and corporate engagement. Volunteer Houston also serves as the disaster volunteer management arm for the region, operating Volunteer Reception Centers during emergencies under agreement with Harris County OHSEM. IM Houston is the lead organization in both the Harris County Long-Term Recovery Committee and the Texas Gulf Coast Region VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Assisting in Disaster).

For over 60 years, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston has brought people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration, and service to the most vulnerable in our community. IM Houston operates Texas's largest Meals on Wheels program (delivering 1.5 million meals annually to 4,300+ homebound seniors), resettles refugees from 40+ countries, coordinates thousands of disaster and community volunteers through Volunteer Houston, and fosters interfaith understanding through dialogue programs, youth leadership, and cultural exchange.
