Community health workers connect underserved residents to wraparound resources and health services.
By CAN DO Houston -- Apr 13, 2026
Overview
The C.A.R.E. Initiative deploys trained community health workers into predominantly Hispanic and Latino communities in Southwest Houston. Launched in July 2020, the program connects residents to wraparound resources including health care, food assistance, housing support, and other essential services. We welcome everyone in our community regardless of background or ability to pay.
