Who Decides
The Independent Police Oversight Board meets monthly to review Houston Police Department policies, investigate complaints about officer conduct, and make recommendations to the Chief of Police and City Council. The board promotes community trust and accountability in law enforcement through public oversight. Meetings are open to the public and residents can attend to hear case outcomes, policy recommendations, and community policing updates. Public comment is available.
