Overview
Love Elementary School is a Houston ISD campus that serves our community's youngest learners from early education through fifth grade. Located at 1120 W 13th Street in the Heights area, this public school provides free education to 348 students and their families. Principal Sean Tellez leads a team dedicated to helping every child succeed. Houston ISD schools matter because they give every family access to quality education, regardless of income. Love Elementary provides daily instruction in core subjects, plus art, music, and physical education. Students get free breakfast and lunch every day, ensuring no child learns on an empty stomach. The school also offers after-school programs and support services. This connects directly to our neighborhoods because strong schools create strong communities. When children succeed at Love Elementary, they're more likely to graduate high school and find good jobs in Houston. Families save thousands of dollars compared to private school costs. The school serves families in Near Northside, Northside Village, and surrounding areas. To get involved, call the main office at (713) 867-0840 to schedule a tour or ask about enrollment. You can also volunteer, join the PTA, or attend school board meetings. Registration happens year-round for families moving to the area.
