Arts Groups Getting $2 Million in Grants

Overview

In January 2022, the BIPOC Arts Network & Fund gave $2 million to 120 arts groups in Houston. These organizations serve Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Asian American, Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern, and other communities of color. The money helped artists and art groups do their important work. Groups like Dance Afrikana, Houston Chinese Opera Club, Filipinx Artists of Houston, and many others received funding. This was the first round of grants from the BIPOC Arts Network & Fund. These arts groups help keep Houston's cultures alive and vibrant. They teach people about different traditions. They give artists a place to create and share their work.
