Where We Live
The TIRZ 14 Fourth Ward board meets monthly to oversee infrastructure improvements and community reinvestment in Houston's historic Fourth Ward, also known as Freedmen's Town. Board meetings are open to the public and cover projects balancing preservation of this nationally significant African American heritage community with infrastructure and affordable housing investments. Fourth Ward residents are especially encouraged to attend and provide public comment.
