Having one central place to find volunteer work makes it easier to get involved in your community. When disasters hit Houston, this same organization becomes the backbone for coordinating volunteer relief efforts across Harris County.
For over 60 years, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston has brought people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration, and service to the most vulnerable in our community. IM Houston operates Texas's largest Meals on Wheels program (delivering 1.5 million meals annually to 4,300+ homebound seniors), resettles refugees from 40+ countries, coordinates thousands of disaster and community volunteers through Volunteer Houston, and fosters interfaith understanding through dialogue programs, youth leadership, and cultural exchange.
